Hello and Welcome to the
Houghton Lake United Methodist Church!

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

"We, the Houghton Lake United Methodist Church, believe our purpose is to glorify God by leading all people to a personal and vital relationship with Jesus Christ, by making disciples, and by equipping them for works of service in the Houghton Lake area and throughout the world.

"We will accomplish this through prayer, worship, teaching, preaching, witnessing, service, stewardship and fellowship focused on motivating people to reach their full potential in Jesus Christ, in love and unity of faith."

Some of our ministries include: a praise band, youth ministry, visiting ministry, grief ministry, softball team, prayer ministry, small groups, handbell choir, adult choir, men's breakfast, UMW (United Methodist Women), mission teams, Vacation Bible School (VBS), children's bell choir, and Sunday School. Our church also hosts swiss steak dinners, pasty sales, a morning exercise group (Limberettes), and AA/Alanon. For more information, see our weekly schedule.
